This directory contains binaries for a base distribution and packages to run on Mac OS X (release 10.6 and above). Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 (and Mac OS X 10.1) are no longer supported but you can find the last supported release of R for these systems (which is R 1.7.1) here. Obtaining GNU PSPP

PSPP is GNU software. You can obtain it the same way as with anyGNU software. PSPP should work on most modern computers and most operatingsystems. Systems which have been known to work include:GNU/Hurd,GNU/Linux,Darwin (Mac OS X), OpenBSD,NetBSD, FreeBSD, and Windows.

Binaries

GNU Linux

We do not distribute precompiled binaries of PSPP. Computers come with so many different archtectures, kernels, operating systems that it would not be feasible for us to do so. However most modern operating systems come with PSPP pre-packaged. To install it, you simply type apt-get install pspp in the case of Debian derived systems; or yum install pspp in the case of Red Hat derived systems.

Windows

Dir-601

Harry Thijssen provides installers or all downloadable files. The windows version is build as cross compile build on openSUSE. There is also a nightly build with development versions.

MacOS

There are three ways to install PSPP on MacOS.

  • The Application bundle provides the gui version via a normal installer. If you do not know what XCode is - go for this one.
  • MacPorts. Run port install pspp-devel to get the latest and most featureful version of PSPP or port install pspp to get an older but possibly better tested version (more information).
  • Homebrew. The PSPP brew tap also includes a description how to install the stable or the development version of PSPP.

Please note: Because the PSPP developers have not prepared these binaries, we cannot in general vouch for them.

Development Versions

PSPP is under continual improvement. You can get development versions if you are interested to see what the developers are working on. Development versions have undergone less testing than released versions.

You can fetch the latest development sources fromthe Savannah GITrepository.The installationprocedure is more complex than for released versions, so werecommend this only for developers.

Automated builds of the developmentversions are performed typically every day.

Since this firewall blocks incoming connections you may need open a port through it for certain games and applications. This process of opening a port is frequently called a port forward, since you are forwarding a port from the internet to your home network.

The basic process to open a port is:

  1. Setup a static IP address on either your computer or device that you want to forward a port to.
  2. Login to your D-Link DIR-601 router.
  3. Navigate to the port forwarding section.
    • Click the Advanced button.
    • Click the Port Forwarding button.
  4. Create a port forward entry.

Step 1

It is important to setup a static ip address in the device that you are forwarding a port to. This ensures that your ports will remain open even after your device reboots.

After setting up a static ip address on your devices you need to login to your router.

Step 2

Now we are going to login to your Dlink DIR-601 router. Your router has a web interface, so you will login to it using your web browser.This can be either Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Edge. It usually does not matter which browser you choose to use.

Open up your web browser and find the address bar. It should look something like this:


In the picture above the address bar has 192.168.0.1 in it. Just replace all of that with the IP address of your Dlink DIR-601 router.Your router's IP address can also be refered to as your computer's default gateway.

By default the IP address is set to: 192.168.0.1

After entering the IP address of your router you can simply press enter. If all goes well you will see the following screen:

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password.

  • The Default D-Link DIR-601 Router Username is: admin
  • The Default D-Link DIR-601 Router Password is: blank

Enter your username and password, and then click the Login button to log in to your Dlink DIR-601 router.

Step 3

Now we need to find the port forwarding section in your router. Here's how you do it. Starting from the first page in your router:

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

Click the Port Forwarding button near the left of the page.

Here are the ports to forward for Xbox Live:

TCP Ports:3074
UDP Ports:3074

If you are looking for the ports for a different application you can find it by either:

  • Browsing our List of Games

Create a name for this forward and put it in the Name box. The name is only used as a reminder and has no effect on the port forward.

Enter the IP address that you want to forward these ports to in the IP Address box. You can enter either the IP address of your computer or the IP address of another computer or device on your network.

These entries are protocol specific. If the ports you are forwarding need to be forwarded using the TCP protocol, you should enterthose ports into the TCP section. If the ports you are forwarding need to be forwarded with the UDP protocol, you should enter those ports into theudp section.

In the TCP or UDP box type the ports to forward.

Your ports can be entered as a list 23,24,25, a range 500-600, or a combination of both 23,45,500-600.

Use the Schedule dropdown box to choose Always.

Use the Inbound Filter dropdown box to select Allow All.

When you're finished, click Save Settings near the top of the screen to save your changes.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Dlink DIR-601 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
