To get the original Apple Flash plugin back on the system, you need to download Pacifist (shareware), a program which allows you to extract individual files or folders from the OS X install disc.
Open Pacifist and click Open OS X Install packages. After a slow load (Rosetta) you'll have a screen full of optional installs. Use the Find search function in Pacifist and one of the files found is Flash Player.plugin. Extract it to your desktop and then copy the extracted Flash Player.plugin to the ~/library/internet plug-ins folder (may want to save the file you're replacing to some other location, just in case) and you're at least back to the original configuration without a complete reinstall.
